Patrick Nuo broke the TV records while joining fellow judges Dieter Bohlen ("Modern Talking") and Brazilian performer Fernanda Brandao, on RTL’s hit show season eighth. As one of the three judge’s on Germany's most successful TV show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" (The German version of "American Idol") Patrick Nuo (29) is definitely not new to show business. The Swiss-born singer and songwriter has already released three albums and eight singles and brought all his experiences and success to the table.
Patrick Nuo is known throughout Europe for hits like "5 Days," "Reanimate," "Undone“ and "Beautiful.” Patrick has a several top 5 and top 10 hits under his belt and has been honored by receiving the Bravo Otto Award and the Radio Regenbogen Award. He also over passed the million views mark on YouTube and have become play lists ’standards on ADC radio stations, especially in Germany Switzerland and Austria. His popularity reaches beyond Europe‘s German-speaking countries: His song "Watching‘ Over You" debuted at number 2 in Greece. His fan base extends from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Asia to Brazil and other Latin America countries.
Patrick started his Pop career in 2003 in close collaboration with producer and songwriter David Jost (i.e. Tokio Hotel - "Through the Monsoon," Keri Hilson - "I Like”). With one of the biggest Pop deals he has thrilled audiences ever since and performed hundreds of live shows. Patrick Nuo has appeared on stage with artists such as The Pet Shop Boys, DJ Bobo and Ronan Keating ("Boyzone"). He has performed for the likes of Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas, Siegfried & Roy, Christopher Reeve, Karl Lagerfeld and many more. Soon Hollywood was feeling the Nuo effect and “Undone” is chosen as the theme song for the box office smash hit movie "Scooby Doo 2". As well Nuo contributes the track “Proud of You Boy” to the special edition DVD "Aladdin.” His music career also lead him to become a recognizable TV success. He also drew the his attention from Feature Film Director’s such as James Colmer, Alejandro Monteverde, Kate Whitney and was asked to join the cast’s of their independent films such as "The Fury”, "Mickey and Laura”, "Crescendo”, after the shooting of his last Music Video “Too Late”- in the Viper Room.
As an ambassador, Patrick Nuo actively supports the "Hear the World" foundation with his colleague Bryan Adams, who photographed selected supporters for the foundation‘s campaign and 2011 calendar. "Hear the World‘s" global initiative is aimed at educating the public about the importance of hearing and the consequences of hearing loss. Patrick Nuo is joined in his efforts by an illustrious team of artists such as, Lenny Kravitz, Annie Lennox, Michael Bublé, and Josh Groban, Sting.
Patrick Nuo’s lives in Los Angeles, writes and produces in CA but also collaborates in cities such as London UK, Oslo NW, Berlin DE and Los Angeles CA. He also writes and produces for other artists, sound tracks, films or commercials. His fourth album is in an early state of development. He recently collaborate in studios in Santa Monica, with the singer and songwriter Pat Monahan (lead singer of the Grammy winning rock band “Train”).
